Time to Change, Time to Adapt

Change is all around us, in more ways than one! I’m reminded of an old chiropractic joke:

Q: Why did dinosaurs become extinct?

A: They failed to adjust!

Right now, adjusting is essential to keep up with all the changes happening around us. Temperatures are dropping, so we bundle up for warmth. Animals naturally adapt too, thickening their fur in winter and shedding in spring. Here in the Northeast, we’re shifting from open windows and AC to cozying up with blankets, fireplaces, and pellet stoves. I even recall the clanking sounds of radiator heat in my old 1890s childhood home and my New York City brownstone apartment too.

Life is shifting everywhere. The lawnmowers get packed away, and snow shovels and blowers are on standby. We switch our pajamas for warmer fabrics, and outdoor dining moves inside. As the days grow shorter, patio furniture gets stored, and leaves get raked. Admittedly, we've had an amazingly warm October, but brrr is just around the corner.

Big picture: life demands adaptability. In chiropractic care, we understand the nerve system is adapting to keep us in balance. A child’s heart beats faster when running, and lungs pull in more oxygen, adjusting to every action, from sleep to exercise. This inner intelligence is always working, always shifting to keep you at your best.

With each specific adjustment, the nerve system is cleared of interference to your natural adaptability, helping to stay responsive to all your body’s 24/7 needs. Chiropractic care supports the amazing, intelligent processes within you, helping you adapt and thrive through every season.

November brings even more shifts. The clocks fall back, we vote and adapt together as a nation, and Thanksgiving unites us in gratitude.

Serving this community is a joy and a privilege, and I count you among my blessings. Thank you to everyone who has chosen chiropractic care to stay well through life’s changes, and for trusting me with your children, your families and those you’ve referred.

I'll see you on the tables!
