Growing up, TV sure had fewer channels, and many shows were instantly recognizable by their theme songs! I remember a fun piano bar in Greenwich Village, NYC, where they sang TV classics that totally date me: The Beverly Hillbillies, The Addams Family, The Jetsons, The Flintstones, All in the Family. And come to think of it, they all shared a common theme: family!
We didn’t even realize we’d memorized every word, to sing along and join in the fun. It was a locked in memory; once we heard the music the rest was easy.
The same was true for commercials. No streaming or fast-forwarding back then! Every product had a catchy jingle that stuck with us, and we'd pester our parents to buy us that wonderful toy or magic kit. Those jingles became INNATE —pure branding genius. You'd hear it, see it and immediately it invoked a triggered response. Think about it: you can identify products just by their logos. A red circle? A rooster on the cereal box ? A swoosh on sneakers? (If you’re not recalling them, I’ll fill in the blanks later!)
Now, here’s the Chiropractic connection: What in your daily life reminds you to think about getting an adjustment? If I’ve done my job, you know that health is about more than just the presence or absence of symptoms. Regular adjustments are key to ensuring a clear nerve supply and optimal health.
So, this month, let’s use December’s activities as little “jingles” to remind you to get your spine checked. Spinal stress—whether physical, chemical or emotional—can lead to subluxations.
Here's a few December "Chiro Jingles” to remind you:
• Wrapping gifts
• Sleeping in a different bed
• Hanging lights
• Lifting groceries
• Hugging (and being hugged!)
• Baking cookies
• Holiday cleaning
• Dragging out decorations
• Shoveling snow
• Hosting parties
• Too much festive food and drink
• Traveling to visit family
• Loading the sleigh! Ho, ho, ho!
While not jingles in the traditional sense, they’re perfect reminders to get adjusted and stay at your best for the holidays.
As this year comes to a close, please know how incredibly humbled and blessed I am to care for you and your families. We have seen and heard so many wonderful changes in your health by making regular chiropractic a part of your life. We're so glad you found us.
Wishing you and yours a Happy Chanukah,
